Encounter: Tetiaroa is a small postcard like atoll with many georgeous beaches, crystal clear water and migrating birds by the thousands.

At a glance:  This only atoll in the Society Islands' Windward Islands. Teiaroa, North of Tahiti, features many beaches. Population of the island of Tetiaroa:  about 50 people to whom you should add thousands of migrating birds. The charm of the island rests in the dozen of motu around the lagoon, surounded by crystal clear water This island's attraction is also due to its owner:   actor Marlon Brando, to whom we owe Hotel Tetiaroa composed of fare built in the local style.

How to get there: By plane:  regulars flights from Tahiti-Faaa (20-minute flights). It is possible  to fly from Moorea. By boat:  excursions can be booked for the day from Papeete or Moorea (2 hours 30 minutes each way, with about 5 hours spent on the island). Faster trip in a catamaran or speed boat, from Papeete or Moorea.
