At a glance: The island of Tupai located 16km North of Bora Bora is remarquable for his double lagoon and its coconut tree covered motu. Quantities of birds live there and sea turtles come there to lay their eggs on the beaches starting in November. In Polynesian mythology, Tupai was regarded as a stop for the souls of the dead. There is no inhabitants and no hotel structure in Tupai.
How to get there: This atoll with a surface of 11 km2 has no pass to allow boats through. There is a rough runway. The only visitors are diving clubs from Bora Bora which sometimes organize outings for the day to this atoll. Get information in Bora Bora.
