Tikehau Village
300 km north east of Tahiti, Tikehau is an atoll which was able to preserve its old fashioned charm while offering services to meet your expectations.
One of the most visible lodging places on the island, the Tikehau Village, has built its reputation over nearly 25 years. Whether you arrive by boat or by plane, your hosts Caro and Paea will welcome you according to the Paumotu tradition.
The nine bungalows are scattered around a lush garden, and their decks are carefully arranged to ensure tranquility while you are looking at the nearby lagoon. With a double bed, and a beautifully decorated bathroom, each bungalow offers a unique decoration made from local materials: coconut tree, kahaia, bamboo, etc., enhanced tastefully with shells ...
You will immediately feel at home.
The restaurant at the Tikehau Village invites you, morning, noon and night to one of its worldwide renowned tables. Here, you won’t eat like anywhere else: you can taste extraordinary specialties, based on seafood (lobster, shellfish, fish). The entire Pacific is invited to your table.
And in addition to the meal, the restaurant and above all its bar are very much appreciated for their legendary friendly atmosphere. You will make surprising encounters, especially with the inhabitants of the atoll.
The magnificent white sand beach is waiting for you to make you discover, without restraint, the surrounding lagoon. The coral garden, a few yards away, awaits you with its myriad of colorful fishes along with a few curious sharks and rays passing through. A unique experience!
And for the boldest, the Raie Manta Club, based at the “pension”, takes you scuba diving to explore the island’s seabed. For the others, fins, masks and snorkels will be enough to show that you don’t have to be an excellent swimmer to have fun. Short walks from either side of the beach will let you meet most of the lagoon’s inhabitants who everyday, are coming, curious and amused, to meet their new visitors ...
The Tikehau Village will make you discover an authentic and friendly Polynesia!
