Liane Foly on tour in Tahiti
For the greatest joy of its Polynesian fans, Liane Foly came in our latitudes to perform her latest show for the local public. Even if music is still very present throughout her performance, Liane gave us another side of her talent and perhaps not the least. She is a genius in her impression, spoofing, taking apart, making fun of over thirty characters, with a talent that is the envy of the best specialists. This other passion of Liane, which was not unknown of her fans, pleased two nights in a row an audience who paid tribute to the immense talent of the woman who has become an icon in French popular culture. We enjoyed your tour, Liane and see you soon in Polynesia!

 - No Va'a (Polynesian canoes) yet in the Olympic Games, but gold medals in the World Championships.
Taaroa Dubois and her team are imperial! Early in August, the Va'a (Polynesian canoe) World Championship took place in Sacramento, California. Strenghtened by their supremacy confimed the previous year, the Tahiti team was there to wipe out any competition. Taaroa Dubois, the young Polynesian sponsored by Nautisport won by himself 5 gold medals, among which 2 in individual canoes and 3 others in V6 and V12. he appears already as the great champion of future years. In the finals, Tahiti won 31 gold medals, beating the previous record with 71 medals altogether. Behind, New Zealand won 30 medals, of which 9 were gold, demonstrating the progress made by the "Southern Maoris". The Hawaii team confirmed its long agony, finishing third with only 21 medals, of which 9 in gold.
