A day in Papeete :
From Moorea, it is very easy "to go to town" for the day. The ferry takes you quickly to Tahiti, where you arrive in the heart of the small capital city of Papeete, a stone's throw from its typical market. There are many scheduled ferries during the day with, however, a drop in the middle of the day. After a full day's shopping, the return to Moorea is spent on the ferry's upper deck at sunset, a memorable moment!
